Phyllis Manchester

Lora Phyllis Manchester, 86, died February 26, 2019 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born December 24, 1932 to John Loren and Ruth Yingling Holt in Mercer, Missouri. She graduated from Princeton High School in Princeton, Missouri.  On August 1, 1953 she married Thomas Reid Manchester in Princeton, MO.  Phyllis was employed by the ASCS office in Princeton, MO. They lived in Davenport and moved to Sigourney in 1968. She attended the Sigourney Baptist Church and was a member of the Baptist Church in Princeton, MO. Phyllis enjoyed bluegrass music, traveling, roller skating, Senior Citizen Center, AARP, the Democratic Party and enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and one brother.
She is survived by her husband Reid, son Phillip (Ruth) Manchester of Sigourney, two granddaughters Amanda Manchester (Steven Clubb) of Hayesville, Alyssa Manchester (Chase Hammes - Tremmel) of North Liberty, two sister in laws Mary Ann Wilkie of Des Moines, Ruth Buck of Montgomery, Alabama and several nieces and nephews.
