Marie Roberts

Marie Ann Roberts, 84, died March 15, 2019 at Parkview Manor in Wellman, Iowa. She was born March 20, 1934 to LaRue E. and Joy M. Pfaff Roberts in Sigourney, Iowa. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1954. In April 1955 she enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. She was a driver and was a mail clerk and later discharged in April of 1958.  She was employed at Owens Brush Company in Iowa City, Moore business as a proofreader, National Computer Systems, ACT, and later at the Veterans Medical Center as a medical clerk retiring in 1991. She was a member of Military Service for America, Women’s Marines Associations, US Marine Corp. Association, she was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans, and a charter member of Women in Military Service for America.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Harold Roberts, and sister Dorothy Peiffer.
She is survived by her sister Mary Breuklander of Oskaloosa and several nieces and nephews.
