Edward J. Shook

Edward J. Shook Jr. 86, died June 7, 2019 at his home in Delta. He was born July 2, 1932 in Ainsworth, Iowa to Edward J. and Bessie I. Shook. He graduated from Delta High School in 1951. He served in the United States Navy from June 14, 1951 to June 10, 1955 during the Korean War. Edward cooked for many years at Hugh Stout’s restaurant the Shady Lodge Café and later he was an over the road trucker, Greyhound bus driver and was employed at Amana Refrigeration. Edward was an avid baseball and Hawkeye fan. A Democratic that kept up on the worldwide news and he always enjoyed a good steak.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Evelyn Stebbins on January 26, 2019 and his brother- in-law Ralph Stebbins Jr.
