Wallace Lippard

Wallace Dean Lippard, 83, died February 26, 2024 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City. He was born October 11, 1940 to Calvin and Ruby Taylor Lippard near Delta, Iowa. He graduated from Delta High School in 1958. On September 27, 1959 he married Beverly June Langfitt in Sigourney.  He farmed in the Delta area and worked at Amana.  Wallace ran the gas station in Delta for many years. Later he drove truck for B & B Bedding and various trucking businesses. In 2021 he had a trucking accident and he could no longer work. Wallace was a former Delta fireman and former Chief in the late 80’s. In 2023 he was the grand marshal of the Delta Day Parade. He was a member of the Delta Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, brother-in-law Larry Barthelman, in-laws Charles and Virginia Langfitt, son- in- laws Larry Martin and Doug Husband, sister-in-law Loretta Lloyd and Phyllis Summers.

He is survived by his children Crystal Martin, Cheryl Husband, Charles Lippard, Camille (Marty) Eckles all of Sigourney. Seven grandchildren, 3 step-grandchild, 10 great-grandchildren, 3 step great-grandchild, sisters Barbara Barthelman of Lincoln, Nebraska and Karen (Robert) Richmon of Yorba Linda, California, sister-in-law Peggy (Verlin) Nikkel of Oskaloosa, brothers-in-law Larry (Janice) Langfitt of Oskaloosa,  William Lloyd of Fremont and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 9, 2024 at the Holm Funeral Home
Visitation Will be 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Friday March 8, 2024 at the funeral home.
