Vicki Benson

Vicki J. Benson, 69, died October 10, 2026, at her home near Sigourney, Iowa. She was born July 31, 1957, to Bruce and Juanita Porter Freeman in Marengo, Iowa. She graduated from Tama High School in 1975. On August 2, 1984, she married Dave Benson in Sigourney. She was employed at Amana Refrigeration for 45 years, retiring in 2019. Vicki loved to crochet blankets and baking bread, she enjoyed watching hummingbirds, going on ranger rides across the countryside.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband Dave, children Trisha (Daloy) Veldhouse of Oskaloosa, Mike (Christine) Benson of Des Moines, nine grandchildren Sam Veldhouse, Kimberly Blancas, Shaun Clark, Andrea Grife, Jacob Benson, Peyton Bunch, Grace Benson, Austin Minks, Megan Benson, seven great grandchildren and one on the way, her siblings Kelly, Becky, Jim and Michael and a large extended family.
