Sue Dale

Ethelyn Sue Dale, 71, died Friday August 16, 2019, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney.  She was born March 13, 1948, in  Bethany, Mo. to Harley Wayne and Edith Eugenia (Craig) Elmore.  She attended school in Cainesville, Mo. and on March 12, 1965 she married Orville Eldon Dale Jr. in Princeton Mo.  They shared 54 wonderful years together. Sue was a homemaker and loved having her family and friends to visit, riding her horse; Apalo, crocheting, sewing, which Sue created and embroidered quilts for many family and friends.     She enjoyed old country music and the 50’s and 60’s rock’n roll, figure 8 races, gardening, but most of all her family.

She is survived by her husband Eldon of Sigourney; three children, Tammy (Don) Northup of Sigourney, Johnny (Angel) Dale of Sigourney, Ronnie (Christine) Dale of Syracuse, Utah, her mother Edith Eugenia Elmore of Sigourney, 8 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, brother Arnold (Judy) Elmore of Lubbock, TX. 2 sisters Rebecca (David) McFarland of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo. and Marcia Scott of Mt. Home, AR; sister-in-laws: Sharon (Keith) Hamilton of Leon, IA, Sheryl (Jim) Vogel of Pleaston, IA, Rhonda (David) Stephenson of Tipton, MO and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, grandparents, mother and father-in-law, and niece Jen McFarland.
