Steve “Wildman” Bown, 66 of Pittsburgh, MO formally of Delta, passed away peacefully, January 13, 2024 at the Oskaloosa Hospice Serenity House. Steve was born June 16, 1957, in Knoxville, IA to Robert and Meta Bown.  He attended Sigourney High School.  He enlisted into the United States Army being honorably discharged on December 28, 1982.  Steve loved anything outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting for deer and mushrooms and racing. He was happy to see his KC Chiefs win the last game he was able to watch. He worked for many years in Amana at Maytag and was a volunteer firefighter for Delta Fire Dept. Steve retired early in 2016 and moved to Missouri where he held precious childhood memories.

He was preceded in death by his son John Ryan Bown and daughter Desiree Diane Bown.

He is survived by his daughter Jessica (Mark) Comstock of Oskaloosa, IA, Parents Robert and Meta Bown of New Sharon, IA, Siblings Sharon Hudson of Sigourney, Jay (Lou) Bown of Brighton, IA, Merry Bown of Bethany, MO, grandchildren Kaden, Ethan, Greyson Fisher, Jayden Comstock, and many nieces and nephews.

Celebration of life on June 22 12pm-4pm at lake keomah's group camp. 2720 Keomah Ln, Oskaloosa, IA 52577
