Ruth Eldridge Johnson

Ruth Eileen Eldridge Johnson, 81, passed away Thursday, August 9, 2013 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa following a long illness.
Ruth was born November 16, 1931 in Keota, to Francis Aloysius and Margaret Peiffer Shannon. She married Robert W. Eldridge on February 11, 1950. She is survived by her eight children: Cathy Uttech (Mitch) of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Jan Hatch (Dean) of Urbandale, Iowa, Jo Carney (Sandy) of Princeton, New Jersey, Pat Eldridge (Lyn) of Waterloo, Iowa, Mary Turkington (Gary) of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Greg Eldridge (Tammy) of Westminster, Colorado, Monica Follman (Bill) of Urbandale, Iowa, and Paul Eldridge (Sally) of Remsen, New York. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Robert, and her second husband Jim Johnson.

Visitation will be held at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney, Iowa on Monday morning, August 12 from 10:00 to 12:00. A graveside service will be held at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery Monday, August 12 at 1:00 p.m.
