Russell Noller

Russell Dean Noller's life will be celebrated on Saturday, June 20, 2009 at a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney. Mr. Noller, 79, died on January 07, 2009, at the Sigourney Care Center following a brief hospitalization.
He was born May 6, 1929 in Sigourney, the son of Earl D. and Clara Schipfer Noller. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1947 and pursued careers in farming and insurance before being elected the Keokuk County Clerk of Court in 1972 a position he held until his retirement in 1999. In June 1963, he married Judyth Ann Peiffer of Iowa City. They lived in Sigourney where he farmed and worked and she commuted to Ottumwa as a registered hospital nurse. He was a member of the Sigourney United Methodist Church, the Free Mason Society, the Kaaba Shrine and the Sigourney Lions' Club.
He is survived by his son and daughter in law, Jeffrey A. Noller and Maria of Chula Vista, California; his granddaughter Katherine Noller; two step granddaughers, Melissa and Nikole; 2 brothers W. Eugene Noller of Webster City and Daniel F. Noller of La Junta, CO; and 11 nieces and one nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, his brother Robert Noller and his twin sister, Earlene Davidson.

Visitation with family will precede the memorial service from 8:30 - 10:30 on June 20th at the Holm Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in his name to Sigourney United Methodist Church or St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sigourney.
