Russell Albert Aldinger, 90, died May 25, 2014 at his home in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born April 27, 1924 to Lloyd D, and Lula A Brandenburg Aldinger near What Cheer, Iowa. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1941 and attended Iowa State. He farmed northwest of Sigourney. On June 10, 1944 he married Ramona Burkhalter in Ottumwa, Iowa. Russ began working for Starry Implement which he purchased. He operated it as Aldinger Implement and later Aldinger and Schott Implement. He retired and moved into Sigourney in 1995.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sigourney, a 70 year member of Webb Lodge #182 A.F. and A.M. a former member of Davenport Consistory Kaaba Shrine, the Keokuk County Izaak Walton League for 30 years, and served on the Keokuk County Conservation Board for 10 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Roger Aldinger.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years Ramona.
