Ruby Ryder

Ruby Ryder, 89, of Sigourney died Friday at Highland Ridge Care Center in Williamsburg, Iowa. She was born February 9, 1920 to Grover Cleveland and Emma Row Bird near Sigourney, Iowa. She graduated from Sigourney High School. On September 27, 1941 she married Ollie Albert Ryder in Lancaster, Missouri. She was employed by Kingsbury Homes for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ollie on February 5, 1994, son Orlan Ryder, daughter Laura Lee Oltman, granddaughter Janice Marie Ryder, great-granddaughter Kara Amber Smith, three brothers Ward Bird, Archie Bird, Forrest Bird, one sister Alva.
She is survived by her daughter Rosalyn Smith of Marengo, son Lowell Ryder of Webster, nine grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, two sisters Opal McIntyre of Waterloo and Lily Kibbee of Cedar Falls.

Funeral service - 10:00a.m. Tuesday at Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney.
Burial - Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sigourney.
Visitation 6 to 8 p.m. Monday.

Memorial fund has been established.
