Robert T. Kleinmeyer, 69, of Delta, died Saturday, May 15, 2010, at the Keokuk County Health Center. He was born April 29, 1941, to Edward G. and Naomi Hartgrave Kleinmeyer. He graduated Salisbury High School in 1959. On September 9, 1961 he married Ardeth Stanley, in Delta. They later divorced. He was a hog buyer for Armour Foods for many years. Later he drove semi and traveled in all 48 states. When he retired from truck driving, he became a director/instructor for GET truck driving school. He lived in Kansas City, Mo and moved to Iowa in 2003.
He was preceded in death by his father.
He is survived by his children Beth and her husband Mike Bridges of Oskaloosa, Bob and his wife Elaina Kleinmeyer of Kansas City, Mo., Joe and his wife Christine Kleinmeyer of What Cheer, his mother Naomi Penrod of North English, 9 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, 4 sisters Jeanne Garringer of Williamsburg, Gayle Fanning and Judy Penrod both of Huntsville Mo., Mary Polhamus of What Cheer, and a brother Ed Kleinmeyer of Cario Mo.
Funeral Service-10:30 a.m. Friday May 21, 2010 at the Holm Funeral Home
Visitation - Thursday 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Burial - Yankee Point Cemetery near North English
