Robert Gann

Robert Lee Gann, 78, died August 25, 2026, surrounded by his family at the Manor House in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born April 10, 1948, in Sigourney to Robert Gene and Virginia Mae (Ewald) Gann. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1966 and later earned a teaching degree from the University of Northern Iowa.

Robert spent most of his life in the Cedar Falls area. Over the years, he worked as a substitute teacher and at several restaurants and bars. He later managed Nino’s Steak House. In 2024, Robert returned to Sigourney to be closer to family. Robert had a love for art, gardening, flowers, and traveling.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his special friend, Robert Kramer.

Robert is survived by his brother, Jeff (Sheri) Gann of Sigourney; nephew, Jarred Gann of Sigourney; niece, Kari (Brad) Tinnes of Sigourney; four great-nieces; and one great-nephew.
