Rita Shipley

Rita Raye Shipley, 75, died October 6, 2021 at the Serenity Hospice House in Oskaloosa.  She was born August 18, 1946 to Ralph Alpers and Arlene Olive Alpers in Oskaloosa.  She graduated from Delta High School in 1964.  In 1965 she married Robert Briney and they later divorced.  She married Robert Shipley in 1984.  Rita was in interior decorator.  She worked at Keota Products and the Town House Café.

She was preceded in death by her parents, step-father Lester Stanley, sisters Dorothy Pace, Ardeth Floden, and Mary Ann Smith.

She is survived by her children Kenneth (Candace) Briney of Kuna, Idaho, David Briney of Delta, Shauna (Clint) Dingeman of Knoxville, four grandchildren, two brothers Bill Stanley of Hartford, Connecticut and Charles Stanley of Delta, sister Deb (Dan) Cowman of Parnell.
