Richard Rohloff, 92, died October 11, 2017 at the Pella Regional Health Center in Pella, Iowa. He was born on May 14, 1925 to Homer and Rose Hankins Rohloff near Delta, Iowa. Richard's mother died when he was 1 year old and he was reared in the home of his grandparents Charles and Hannah Rohloff. He graduated from Delta High School in 1943. Richard served in the United States Navy from 1943-1946 and later received his B.A. from the University of Iowa in 1950. He taught music at Dysart, Iowa for 1 year before returning to farming. On December 28, 1957 he married Jean Klein at the Sigourney Christian Church. He taught in the Tri-County school system from 1969-1991 along with his farming. He served as interim choir director at the Nazarene Church on numerous occasions. Richard loved the Lord and his family.
He is survived by his wife Jean, son John (Deb) Rohloff of Oskaloosa, daughter Ann (Brian) Partridge of South Haven, Minnesota, four grandchildren Adam (Haley) Rohloff, Allison (Andrew) Ter Louw, T.C. Partridge, and Nick Partridge, one great-granddaughter Ava Ter Louw and one sister Barbara Gillett of Kingsburg, California.
Funeral Service: Saturday 9:30 A.M. at the Gateway Church of the Nazarene, Oskaloosa
Visitation: Friday 4:00 - 7:00 P.M.at the Gateway Church of the Nazarene, Oskaloosa
Burial: Garret Cemetery, near Delta
