Phyllis Renner

Phyllis May Renner, 94, died June 15, 2015 at the Manor House in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born on July 13, 1920 to Clarence "Pat" and June Shipman Glandon in South English, Iowa. She attended country school. On September 5, 1938 she married George Louis Renner in Burlington, Iowa. She was employed at the West Side Café and worked in housekeeping at the Manor House for 30 years, retiring the age of 86. She was a member of the St. Paul Evangelical and Reformed Church and later the First Presbyterian Church in Sigourney. She loved her family and enjoyed gardening and canning her gardens harvest.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Louie on March 7, 1993, granddaughter Lisa LeClere, three brothers Lyle, Bob, and Marvin Glandon, two sisters Madge Gapen and Betty Sherdian, and good friend Ion Streigel.
She is survived by her children Bonnie Jean (Bill) Mertz of Haysville, Sharon (Kerm) Shettler of Sigourney, Iowa, Bob (Janet) Renner of Sturgis, Michigan, Mike (Lura) Renner of Sigourney, Iowa, Kathy LeClere of Sigourney, Debra (Jeff) Kiebel of Sigourney. 14 grandchildren, 2 step-grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 step-great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, 3 step-great-great- grandchildren and special friend Joyce Liggett.

Funeral Service: Thursday, June 18, 2015 at 10:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church
Visitation: Wednesday 5:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the First Presbyterian Church
Burial: Pennington Cemetery - Sigourney
