Pearl Arhens Leinen

Pearl Arhens Leinen, 104, of Sigourney, died Saturday, May 14, 2011, at the Manor House Care Center. She was born October 29, 1906, at Delta, to William and Maggie Hicklin McAdams. She attended school in Delta. On February 7, 1925 she married Fred Gottlieb Ahrens in Oskaloosa, Iowa. They lived and farmed in the Sigourney and South English area. In 1957 they moved to Colfax where they owned and operated a Dairy Freeze for 13 years. They retired in 1970 and moved back to Sigourney. Fred died on August 15, 1983. She married Ralph Leinen in 1989. He died on September 12, 1998.
She was preceeded in death by her husbands, a David Ahrens, two brothers William, and Fred, and a sister.
She is survived by her son Ron and wife Marge Ahrens of Harper, a daughter Lois and husband Jim Simpson of College Station, Texas, 9 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren .
