David Paul Sellers, 82, died September 11th, 2019 at the Keokuk County Health Center, Sigourney Iowa. He was born March 20th, 1937 to Bryan and Addie Sellers at Mahaska Hospital in Oskaloosa, Iowa. He graduated in 1955 from Delta Community Schools. He married Karen Marie Mallinger on April 7th, 1963 at the Ollie Methodist Church. He farmed for many years before moving to Sigourney and working for the Keoco Auction, Cassen’s Mill and Sigourney Foods. He enjoyed playing cards, slow-pitch, attending Figure 8 races and coaching and attending his children’s and grandchildren’s sports games. He was an avid Cubs fan, Iowa Hawkeye Fan, and Sigourney Savage fan.
He is survived by his wife, Karen, of 56 years and children; David (Annette) Sellers, Alan (Jodee) Sellers, Sherry (Adam) Lutz, all of Sigourney. Grandchildren; Sean (Terra) Sellers, Kelsey Miller (Sam Wieben), Colby (Whitney) Kerkove, Trey Shafranek, Ty Shafranek, and Krista Sellers. Great-grandchildren, Easton & Ezrah Kerkove, and Brennex Sellers Brother-in-law, Frank Mallinger, of Amarillo, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his two sisters, Margarite Kirkpatrick and Martha Kinkade and infant brother Dwight Sellers.
