Neal Bowman

Neal Bowman, 73, died January 19, 2026, surrounded by his family in Harper, Iowa. He was born May 11, 1952, to Charles and Ardith (Ewart) Bowman in Mt. Ayr, Iowa. He graduated from Clearfield High School in Clearfield, Iowa in 1970. On February 27, 1988, he married Debra Joan St. Pierre in Tingley, Iowa. He worked with his Dad as a mechanic for many years until the shop closed in 1989. Neal was employed at the Iowa Department of Transportation as a mechanic and snowplow operator for 25 years working in Belford and Sigourney. They moved to Sigourney in 1992. Neal enjoyed woodworking, restoring vehicles, cooking and camping. 

He was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife Deb Bowman of Harper, son Nick Bowman of Oskaloosa, daughter Samatha Bowman of Harper and brother Charles Bowman of Lenox.
