Myrtle H. Engle

Myrtle Henrietta Engle, 99, died June 11, 2021 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa.  She was born December 3, 1921 in West Lancaster Township, Keokuk County, Iowa to Clarence Elmer and Minnie Rohloff Engle. She attended Conner Country School. She worked as a hired hand for the Klett Family from 1941 to 1965. Myrtle loved being outside, working with livestock and in the garden. She enjoyed fishing, mushrooming, cats and sewing.  Myrtle loved to share her knowledge of home remedies and farmer’s folklore while visiting with friends.
She was preceded by her parents, brothers Leroy, and Albert Engle.
She is survived by her sister- in- law Jean Engle, three nieces Linda Herman, Sue Winters and Connie Weber all of Sigourney and a nephew Jim Engle of Pleasant Hill, Iowa and many friends.
