Milford (Mid) Leo Decker, 91, died May 21, 2021 at his home near Hayesville. He was born December 13, 1929 to Leo and Geneva Wehr Decker. He attended school in Sigourney. On July 29, 1950 he married Martha Martin in Sigourney. To this union three children were born Gerald Irvin, Anne Marie, and Leland Robert. Mid was drafted into the United States Army in 1952, he was stationed at El Paso, Texas. After returning from the Army he worked construction for FA Moser, MIE Construction and later McCulley Construction until retiring. Mid loved camping, boating, hunting and fishing with the family. Mid and Martha enjoyed traveling after retirement and spending many years at the Old Threshers in Mt. Pleasant. Mid always had time to teach the grandkids many skills such as fishing, mowing and hunting.
He is preceded in death by his parents, son Gerald Irvin, sister Cleda Spicer, infant brother Leslie L. Decker, one grandson Christopher Michael Arduser, and one great-grandson Dawson Patrick Crawford.
He is survived by his wife Martha of 70 years, daughter Anne (Don) Arduser, son Leland (Tammy Brown) Decker all of Sigourney, five grandchildren Jeni (Andy) Harter, Amber Copeland, Tiffany Decker, Allie Lacey and Andrew Decker and eight great-grandchildren Peyton, Carson, Mason, Maddie, Abel, Landry, Mac and Bella.
