Mignon Dumont

Mignon Ann Dumont, 75, died April 17, 2013 at the Manor House Care Center in Sigourney. She was born December 31, 1937 to John Wesley and Mary Flora Weber Snakenberg near Webster, Iowa. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1955, worked at Benteco and for Dr. Hooley and later Bales Nursing Home. On October 24, 1959 she married Jerry Leonard Dumont at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney. They lived and farmed north of Sigourney until 2008 when she moved to town after Jerry's death. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jerry on November 10, 2007, two sisters Helen Lee and Marietta Snakenberg, and a brother Raymond Snakenberg.
She is survived by her daughter Annette (Bill) Redlinger of Richland, son Philip (Lisa) Dumont of Roberts, Wisconsin, five grandchildren Megan Roop, Jacob Roop, Benjamin, Matthew and Anna Dumont, two great grandchildren Rylee and Joey Roop and a brother David Snakenberg of Sigourney.
