Marjorie Ann Ahrens, 88, died February 11, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born June 18, 1929 in rural Sigourney to Frank and Rose Clarahan Weber. She graduated from St. Elizabeth High School in Harper. After graduating she worked at People's Grocery in Sigourney for a short time. On February 7, 1950 she married Ronald Fredrick Ahrens at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper. They just celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary. She lived and farmed west of Harper with her husband Ron. Marjorie worked for Ahrens Family Business until she retired. She was a former member of St. Elizabeth Catholic Church in Harper. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Society.

She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Rita Jean Herman.

She is survived by her husband Ronald of Harper, children, Dan (Jill Armstrong) Ahrens of Iowa City; Lyle Ahrens of Harper; Rhonda (Jon) Aller of Iowa City; Randy (Kami) Ahrens of North Liberty; nine grandchildren, Andrew Ahrens; Lindy Ahrens; Aliou (Tiffany) Keita; Caleb Ahrens; Bennie Ahrens; Ryan Aller; Alex Aller; Ashley Ahrens; and Hailey Ahrens; three great-grandchildren, Ella Deters; Kenley Keita; and Kayden Keita.

Funeral Mass: Thursday 10:00 A.M. St. Mary Catholic Church, Sigourney
Burial: Holy Trinity Parish - St. Elizabeth Cemetery Harper, Iowa
Prayer Service: Wednesday 4:00 P.M. Holm Funeral Home
Visitation: 4:30- 8:00 P.M.
