Madlen Davis

Madlen Carol Davis, 78, died August 21, 2009 at the Manor House Care Center in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born December 28, 1930 in Rainsville, Alabama to Wannie and Allie Graham Scott . She graduated from DeKalb County High School in Fort Payne, Alabama. On August 18, 1950 she married Leander Van Davis at the Robertson's Chapel in Rainsville, Alabama. Madlen was employed at the W. B. Davis Hoisery Mill. They moved to Sigourney in 1965 and Madlen was employed at the Townhouse and later Pizza Ranch. She retired to take care of her grandchildren. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and she bowled for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
Those left to mourn her passing are her children son Van and his wife Julie Davis, daughter Pam and her husband Alex Schwenke both of Sigourney, five grandchildren Bryan Albaugh, Cody Davis, April Davis, Colton Schwenke and Madison Schwenke, one sister Betty Stringer of Fort Payne, Alabama.

Burial: Saturday at Mountain View Memory Gardens, Fort Payne, Alabama
