Letha Horras Culp, 98, died February 18, 2014 at the Manor House Care Center in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born July 11, 1915 to Harry C. and Millie Eastburn Horras on the family farm. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1930. Letha was employed by Mrs. Etter, the State Legislature in Des Moines, Department of Agriculture in Washington D.C., Department of Human Resources in Cleveland, Ohio. On January 17, 1946 she married Ward Edward Culp in Dallas Texas. Letha and her husband were co-owners of Culp Equipment Company a poultry processing company. She returned to Sigourney in 1972 to care for her mother. Letha enjoyed gardening, attending auctions and cooking.
She was preceded her in death by her parents, husband Ward on July 9, 1967, a sister Marjorie Taylor and a brother Gerald Horras.
She is survived by her four daughters Cheryl (Norb) Steinbach of Delafield, Wisconsin; Bonnie (Jeff) Smith of Waukee, Iowa; Linda Randono of Colorado Springs, Colorado; Debbie Culp of Ft. Myers, Flordia. seven grandchildren: Charlie (Jamie) Smith, Denver, Colorado; Katrina (Kyo) Ladopoulous; John (Mimi) Randono, Los Angelos, California; Andrew Randono, Boulder, Colorado; Kristy (Stanton) Kensinger, Colorado Springs, Colorado; Woodson and Ian Culp of Oklahoma. Two great-grandchildren, Madelyn Grace Smith, Kasandra Ladopoulos. One nephew Danny (Kim) Horras and niece a Teresa Horras (Bob) Ramsell.
