Leland G. Reinier, 86, a resident of Bettendorf, Iowa died Friday, June 4, 2010 at the Iowa Masonic Health Facility, Bettendorf, Iowa
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, June 8, 2010 at the Holm Funeral Home, Sigourney, Iowa. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Chapel, Bettendorf, Iowa. A prayer service will be held at the conclusion of the visitation. Burial will be in Rock Creek Cemetery, Ollie, Iowa. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church, Bettendorf, Iowa. McGinnis-Chambers Funeral Home, Bettendorf, Iowa is assisting the family with arrangements.
Leland was born August 26, 1923 in Ollie, Iowa the son of Guy A. and Mae I. (Mellott) Reinier. He was united in marriage to Lena Seevers on July 4, 1946 in Fairfield, Iowa.
Leland worked for the Moline Consumers Company, Moline, Illinois for forty years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Lena; his daughter, Carol A. (Norman) Sandberg, LeClaire, Iowa; his son, Donald (Barbara) Reinier, Blue Grass, Iowa; his grandchildren, Luke Sandberg, Joseph Sandberg and Brett Reinier and his sisters, Thelma Shy, Allie, Iowa and Mary Lee Garrett, Sigourney, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Evelyn Dugger.
