Kenneth Nicholas Heisdorffer, 91, passed away peacefully August 17, 2023 at the Mahaska Health Partnership Hospice Serenity House in Oskaloosa. Kenneth was born May 25, 1932 to Albert and Edythe (McConnell) Heisdorffer in rural Richland, Iowa. He graduated from Sigourney High School. He served in the United States Air Force from August 1952 to August 1956. On May 3, 1956 he married Beverly Ilene Denny at the Methodist Church in Sigourney. While Kenneth was in the military they lived in Texas. They moved back to the Keokuk County area and lived and farmed near Delta all their married life. Kenneth was a life-long farmer since a very young age that loved working in the field. He enjoyed wood working, tinkering with his JD 520 tractor and visiting with others at all the farm auctions. He could even tell you where all the best ice cream shops were here and in the surrounding counties. He will be deeply missed and remain forever in our hears
He is survived by daughters Vicky (Steve) Buehneman of Delta; Diana Glandon of Neveda, Iowa; Linda Heisdorffer of Sigourney; Lori (Mike) Hoover of What Cheer, twelve grandchildren Bryan Buehneman; Jenny Plate; Mitzi Fisch; Jamie Glandon; Rachelle Burk; T.J. Glandon; Adam Bates; Matthew Mullikin; Jeremy Randall; Tim Randall; Cory Randall; and Mikayla Hoover, and 22 great-grandchildren, brothers Leland Heisdorffer and Roger Heisdorffer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife Beverly on January 18, 2021, two great-grandchildren, brother David Heisdorffer, and stepfather Joe Williams.
