Keith Edward Fritchen, 88, died July 12, 2023, at Keota Health Center. He was born March 9, 1935, to Wilmer and Sophie Schultz Fritchen on the family farm near Ollie, Iowa. He graduated from Ollie High School in 1954. On February 14, 1958 he married Martha Roop at the Ollie Baptist Church. They made their home near Ollie. He worked at Richland Lumber Yard and Packwood Lumber Yard. Keith did custom bulldozing with Donnie Pence and farmed until 1985.  He later went to work for Keokuk County Roads Department until his retirement in 2004. He was a member of the Prairie View Church and the Ollie Masonic Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister Betty Power.

He is survived by his wife Martha of Richland, children, Nathan (Sharon) Fritchen of Ollie, Cami (Artie) Swailes of Sioux City, Cari (Dave) Shemanski of Keota, grandchildren Aaron (Angie) Fritchen, Brenda (Shea) Amos, Bridget Fritchen, Ryan (Brooke) Fritchen Chelsey (Joy) Thiphasouk, Ben Shemanski, and Grace Shemanski, great-grandchildren Ethan, Reagan, Carver, Treyer, Berkley, Kayden, Kellyn and Kemsly.
