Kathy L. Benson

Kathy (Nana) L. Benson, 63, died December 8, 2008 at her home in Riverside, Iowa. She was born March 12, 1945 near Delta, Iowa to Harvey Robert and Loretta Agnes Cheney Benson. She graduated from Delta High School in 1962. She was employed at Johnson County Care Facility - Chathum Oaks from 1968 until her retirement in 2006, where she was a staff resident coordinator. She lived in Iowa City until moving to Riverside in 2006.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Those left to mourn her passing are her children Lisa Pfeiffer and friend Greg Widman of Iowa City, Michelle Kemp and friend Doran Williams of Riverside, Bill Kleinmeyer and wife Kim of West Branch, Alli Jacoby and friend Chandra Kelly of Kansas City, Terry Benson and wife Kristen of Sigourney, Cathy Jo and her husband Ryan Redlinger of Riverside, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, step-mother Leatrice Benson of Sigourney, three brothers Dean Benson of Sigourney, Dave Benson of Sigourney, George Benson of Richland, two sisters Shirley Burnett of Centerview, Missouri, Lori Taghon of Sigourney, two step- sisters Cathy Tolly of Oskaloosa, Becky Netten of Keota, two step-brothers Dan Abell of Sigourney, Randy Abell of Eagleview, Missouri.
