Jim Cassens

James Henry Cassens, 58, died May 1, 2016 at the Ottumwa Regional Health Center in Ottumwa, Iowa. He was born December 10, 1957 to Charles and Irene Adams Cassens in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1977. He was employed at Cassens' Mill all of his life. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Sigourney and ABATE. Jim enjoyed working and visiting with farmers during harvest time and riding his Harley Davidson. He loved his nieces, nephews, their families, and his adopted dog "Come Here".
He is survived by his parents Charles and Irene Cassens, sisters Janice (Mike) Brown of Sigourney, Jean Anne (Dwight) Crevelt of Walnut Grove, Missouri, and Joy (Rusty) Sanner of Rocklin, California, 8 nieces and nephews and 5 great-nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service: Saturday, May 7, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church in Sigourney

Visitation: Friday 5:00 - 7:00 P.M. at the Holm Funeral Home

Burial: Pleasant Grove Cemetery - Sigourney
