Jennifer (Jeni) Rachelle Clarahan, 37, lost her courageous 3 year battle with breast cancer on November 20, 2023, at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born on March 5, 1986 in Mesa, Arizona.

Jeni graduated from Sigourney JR Senior High School in the Class of 2004 and went on to graduate from Indian Hills Community College where she earned her RN in 2009.

In 2010 Jeni married Derek Crow and they had two children together Landon and Maci and resided in Hedrick, Iowa. They would later divorce. On July 30, 2016 she married Casey Clarahan and gained a step daughter, Carley Clarahan. While residing in Sigourney, Iowa Casey and Jeni had their son Blake.  Jeni loved spending time with her family,  especially her children and taking them on many trips.

Her love extended beyond her family and was visible through the care of her patients.  Through 19 years of experience in health care, Jeni worked at the Keokuk County Health Center as a nurse and also as a Cardiac Rehab RN. She also worked at Mahaska Health Partnership in Oskaloosa as an Emergency Room RN, and at multiple care center facilities. Jeni's warm and caring nature touched the lives of many. Her legacy will live on through the positive influences she has had on those around her.

Jeni is survived by her husband Casey Clarahan of Sigourney, children Landon Crow, Maci Crow, and Blake Clarahan, step daughter Carley Clarahan,  mother Catherine Casey of Sigourney,  siblings Megan (Red) Simmons, Amanda Bushong, Cody Bushong all of Oregon, in laws Tom and Deb Clarahan of Batavia, sister-in-law Jessie (Chris) Greiner of Agency, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her grandparents.

Jeni’s legacy will also live on through others as she was an eye donor.   She embodied love, empathy, and selflessness along with strength and courage. Her ability to uplift others and bring light into their lives made her a beacon of hope.

In lieu of flowers or cards, the family respectfully requests that in memory of Jeni, you perform an act of kindness for a friend or stranger in honor of her kind spirit and caring heart.
