Jenella Stull, 84, of Sigourney, died Thursday, August 9, 2012, at the Manor House in Sigourney. She was born September 10, 1927, near Oskaloosa, to Bert and Jennie DeJong Slings. On June 4, 1947, she married Samuel Stull Jr. in Oskaloosa. They lived and farmed in Keokuk County most of their married life. She worked at Kingsbury Homes for 10 years, and later at the Manor House for 4 years. She was a member of the Good News Chapel in Oskaloosa.
Jenella is survived by her children Karen (Richard) Wichmann, of Williamsburg, Steve (Gwen) Stull, of Sigourney, Sharen (Dave) Sauer of Delta, and Stewart Stull of Sigourney, 7 grandchildren: Aaron (Tonya) Sandersfeld, Williamsburg, Angie (Greg) Heartsill of Chariton, Josh (Terri) Stull of Hedrick, Lindsay (Dustin) Stutzman of Williamsburg, Cassidy (Jason) Mitchell of Sigourney, Abby (Jaret) DeKleine of Ollie, and Maggie Sauer, of Delta; 19 great-grandchildren, 2 sisters Min Houk, and Marilyn Van Wyk and a sister-in-law Marion Slings all of Oskaloosa.
Jenella was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sam on August 8, 2011, 2 brothers Hurbert and Art Slings, a sister Edna Boender, and a son-in-law Gerald Sandersfeld.
Funeral Service - 10:30 a.m. Tuesday August 14, 2012, at the Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Oskaloosa.
Visitation - 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney.
Burial - Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Sigourney.
A Memorial fund has been established.
