Jean Ryman

Jean Ryman, 94, died April 15, 2018 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City Iowa. She was born December 1, 1923 to Carl and Edna Leona Fixmer Clubb in rural Sigourney. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1941 and later graduated from St. Joseph's Nursing School in 1951. On September 8, 1951 she married Clifford Rex Ryman at the United Methodist Church in Sigourney. Jean was employed as a Registered Nurse at St. Joseph Hospital in Ottumwa for many years. She was employed at the hospital until it closed. She moved to Sigourney in 2009.
She was a member of  St. Mary Catholic Church, a former member of St. Mary of the Visitation, Administration of Care at St. Mary and the St. Mary Quilt group in Ottumwa.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford in 1983, brother Verle Clubb and sister Betty Conkity.
She is survived by her sister Janalene Ingle of Sigourney, two brothers Marvin Clubb and Gaylan Clubb both of Sigourney and many nieces and nephews..
