Janice Conrad, 73, died June 24, 2018 at her home in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born July 20, 1944 to Wilford and Pauline Heisdorffer Fritchen in Sigourney. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1962 and graduated from AIB in Des Moines. On February 23, 1963 she married Michael Conrad at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney. She was a homemaker and later was employed at Louis Rich Company, Williamsburg Manufacturing and Riverside Casino and Resort until she retired. She was a Fuller Brush representative for 15 years.
She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Sigourney Pride, and the Always Welcome Club. Janice enjoyed bowling, sewing, gardening, playing pepper, following her children and grandchildren’s sport activities, attending and camping at the Iowa State Fair.
She is survived by her husband Mike, and their daughters, Tammy (Jim) Hoover of Durant, Debbie (John) Knowler of Sigourney, Sherry (David ) Tornow of Washington, Susan (Craig) Andrew of Urbandale, her eleven grandchildren Courtney Hoover, Conrad Hoover, Jessica Knowler, Lindsey (Ben) Altenhofen, Abby Tornow, Brad Tornow, Austin Young, Riley Young. Taylor Andrew, Luke Andrew and Isaac Andrew, .one great-grandchild Rowan Altenhofen, her mother Pauline Street of Sigourney and her brother Roger ( Linda) Fritchen of Sigourney.
