Janet Brainard

Janet Louise Brainard, 69, died March 26, 2012 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney, Iowa. She was born July 23, 1942 to F Edward and Prudence Peterson Traut in Galesburg, Illinois. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1960. On June 11, 1961 she married Larry Lee Brainard at the United Methodist Church in Sigourney. They lived west of Sigourney. Janet was employed as a receptionist for many years at H& R Block. She was a member of the United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband Larry on April 24, 2005, and her mother.
She is survived by her daughters Lori Brainard of Oskaloosa, Kristi (Jode) Hollingsworth of Sigourney, Staci (Steve) Shettler of Sigourney, granddaughter Rylie Shettler, her father Edward and step mother Jackie Traut of Oskaloosa, sister Judy Park of Rose Hill, sister-in-law Betty Lou Vandament of Indianola.
