Jane Goll

Mary Jane Goll, 83, died September 27, 2015 at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. She was born January 11, 1932 to Guy and Nettie Rose Silvers near What Cheer, Iowa. She grew up south of Delta. She went to country school north of Hedrick grades K - 1 and 2nd - 8th at Davenport Country School and graduated from Delta High School in 1950 where she played 3 on 3 basketball. Jane attended the Art Institute receiving a commercial art degree.

On May 8, 1954 she married Robert William Goll at the Delta Christian Church in Delta, Iowa. They farmed south of Delta and then lived and farmed east of Delta. Mary Jane enjoyed farming, country music wood working, crafts, her pets, camping at Old Threshers and watching the Iowa Hawkeyes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Robert on July 11, 1989, sister Ruth Ludwick and a brother Delmar Rose.

She is survived by her daughter Susan (David) Foster of Keota, son David (Ann) Goll of Harper, 6 grandchildren Matthew Decker, Brandy (Scott) Reschly, Dustin Anderson, Ashley Goll, Sadie Goll, Jessica Goll and a step granddaughter Stacey (Joe) Sweeny 4 great-grandchildren and a sister Treva McBeth of Woodbridge, VA.
