James Mather

James "Jim" L. Mather, 59, of Sigourney, died Tuesday April 28, 2009 at the Jefferson Co. Hospital in Fairfield. He was born September 11, 1949 in Sigourney to Edgar James and Mildred Irene Clubb Mather. He graduated from Tri-County High School. On July 27, 1985, he married Evalyn Kay Beggs in Sigourney. He farmed in the Keswick-Webster area and moved into Sigourney 2000, and to Ottumwa in 2007.
He was preceded in death by his father Jim, and a brother Gary Mather.
Surviving are his wife Kay of Ottumwa, 2 daughters Mary and Nancy Mather both of Ottumwa, his mother Mildred of Sigourney, and a sister Helen Dobbins of Hedrick.

Funeral Service 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney.
Burial- Sordon Cemetery near Webster.
Visitation after 4:00 P.M.Thursday at the Holm Funeral Home.
A memorial fund has been established.
