James Massengill

James Allen Massengill, 72, died June 19, 2025, at his home in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born November 20, 1952, to Ralph Eugene and JoAnne (Townsend) Massengill in Long Beach, California. He graduated from Sigourney High School. James enlisted in the United States Army in October 1977, he served in Hawaii and was discharged in October 1981. He received the Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal, Army Service Ribbon and Oversea Ribbon. James lived in Hayesville, North Carolina and was employed as a mechanic, and he moved back to Iowa in the late 80’s and worked at Cargill.

He was preceded in death by his parents JoAnne and Leslie Glandon, two brothers John Massengill and David Glandon.

He is survived by his siblings Janis Epsen of Eddyville, Donald (Michelle) Glandon of Clinton Township, Daniel (Melissa) Glandon of Hayesville, Jody (Dale) Reisenbigler of Morrison, Illinois, and several nieces and nephews.
