Iona Streigle

Iona Streigle, 85 died October 17, 2013 at the Manor House Care Center in Sigourney. She was born October 21, 1927 to Ira Roscoe and Millie Iona Downey Beall. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1945. On December 8, 1946 she married Warren E. Streigle at the Sigourney Christian Church. They farmed east of Sigourney until Warrens death on January 8, 1976. Iona moved into Sigourney and she was employed at the Manor House Care Center for 25 years. She was a member of the Sigourney Christian Church and the Pleasant Hill Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Warren, four sisters Bernice Potter, Doris Jennings, Irene White and June Potter.
She is survived by her children Janet (Gary) Martin of Sigourney, Karen (Frank) Liebl of Newton, David (Kathy) Streigle of Ames, 10 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren.

Service: Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Sigourney Christian Church.
Visitation: 9:00 - 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church.
Burial: Pennigton Cemetery - Sigourney
