Howard Linder, 90, died at the University Hospital in Iowa, City, Iowa on September 29, 2025. He was born to Kenneth Morrow and Helen Josephine Linder on September 3, 1935, near Sigourney. He graduated from Sigourney High School in 1952. On February 12, 1955, he married Betty Lou Morgan at the Keswick Methodist Church in Keswick. They have been married 69 years. He was a mail carrier and later worked as a plumber and farmed. Howard loved music, playing the accordion and the piano. He was in a band playing at local community gatherings and nursing homes.

He was a member of the Sigourney Presbyterian Church, the Keokuk County Historical Society, the Farm Bureau, where he served as former president.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Darrell Linder. He is survived by his wife Betty, his son Dave (Krista) Linder of Sigourney, Sherry (Steve) Cason of Sigourney, two grandchildren Kristi (Tim) Jabaay and Michael (Alisha)  Linder, five great -grandchildren Caroline, Elizabeth and Andrew Jabaay, Caleb and Kaden Linder.
