Glenn Eugene Dyson, 95, died October 19, 2018 at the Manor House in Sigourney, Iowa. He was born May 24, 1923 to Olan Rufus and Mary Pearl Kirkpatrick Dyson. He graduated from Keswick High School. On June 3, 1944 he married Dorothy Helen Cassens. They lived and farmed East of Stoney Point. In 1959, they moved to Buckingham to farm there. In 1972, they bought a farm and moved to Green City, Missouri. Around the age of 75, he began to slow down in farming and found a new hobby tractor pulling. He loved to fix up and pull his tractor "Gopher". In 2004, they retired and moved back to Sigourney and have resided at the Manor House since 2011. He was a member of English River Church of the Brethren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of nearly 70 years, Dorothy Helen Dyson, his children Carolyn Sue, Twyla Lea, Richard "Ricky" Glenn, and eight brothers and sisters.
He is survived by his daughter, Marilyn Jeanette (Rev. Paul) Thompson, his granddaughters, Rev. Susannah Leigh (Dr. Richard) DeBenedetto, Rebekah Jane (Jon) Matzenbacher, and his great grandchildren Ella Marie and Reid Eugene Matzenbacher, and many nieces and nephews.
