George Albert Morrow Jr., 83, died June 22, 2021 at his home in Sigourney. He was born March 18, 1938 to George M. and Zelma Maxine Glandon Morrow in Iowa City, Iowa. He graduated from Delta High School in 1956. On December 20, 1959 he married Dorothy Jo-Ann Beall in Sigourney. George enlisted in the United States Air Force on October 10, 1956 being stationed at Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, Guam, Australia, Indiana, Thailand, Arizona, Korea and Nevada.
He retired from the Air Force in July 1977. George was employed at the Fremont School from 1979 to 2000 as a custodian. George and Dotti made their home in Delta and moved to Sigourney in 2003. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and camping, the Colts, western music, watching girls softball on television, and playing with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, parents-in-law, brothers Franklin Duane Morrow and Richard William Mitchell both in infancy and sister Wanda Raye Lathrop Dittmer, brothers-in law Jerry Long, Howard Dittmer, William Beall, Ray Kellogg and Jim Short and sisters-in-law Marlene Mitchell, LaDonna Beall and Jacqueline Short and grandson Christopher Stout in infancy.
He is survived by his wife Dotti and two children Angie (Larry) Alderson of Sigourney, Alan (Ella) Morrow of Delta. Eight grandchildren Lara (Cody) Davis, Ginny (Buddy Kelley) Alderson, Andy Morrow, Paige (Dustin) Eklov, Joe Goldman, David (Cass) Coble, Adam Stout, Nicole (Eli Schmidt) Stout. Great grandchildren Jorja, Alivia, Arie, Baby Davis, Austin, Landon, Andrew, Mila, Shayne, Rylee, Kendrick, Karma, Jordyn, Rayne, Courtney, Avery, Emersyn and Presley. One sister Ernie Long of Moline, IL. and one brother Jim Mitchell of Keswick and two sisters-in-law Deb Kellogg and Mary Riggle.
