Geneva Marie Winn

Geneva Marie Winn, 89, died February 23, 2019 at the Jefferson County Health Center in Fairfield, Iowa. She was born January 26, 1930 to Henry Joseph and Florence Amlong Stein in Plank Township, Keokuk County, Iowa. She was baptized and confirmed at the Sigourney United Methodist Church. She graduated from Sigourney High School in 1948. On November 7, 1948 she married her first and only love Lyle R. Winn in Sigourney. Geneva was employed at Benner Foods as a cashier and a bookkeeper, Winfrey, Wimmers and later at the Keokuk County Courthouse in auditor’s office retiring in 1974. Geneva took great joy in her grandchildren and great - grandchildren she  also enjoyed following sports.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Rip on January 23, 2019 five brothers Kenneth. Clayborn, Junior, Stanley and Gaylord Stein and two sisters Roberta Linder and Jennett  Graff.
She is survived by her children Jeff (Amy) Winn of Richland, Melissa Strempke of Independence, seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren they were the light of her life, two sisters Patricia (James) Reynolds and Marjorie (Earl) Jones both of Sigourney.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the University of Iowa Children’s Hospital.
