Esther Heisdorffer

Esther Marie Heisdorffer, 85, died October 20, 2009 at the Manor House Care Center in Sigourney. She was born April 26, 1924 to Frank I. and Marie Rettler Greiner near Keota, Iowa. She attended Clear Creek School. On April 24, 1946 she married Leonard Heisdorffer at Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Clear Creek. They lived and farmed in Keokuk County and moved into Sigourney in 1979. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church, Altar and Rosary Society, Scattergood Club and Always Welcome Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard on August 11, 2004, four brothers Everett, Greiner, James Greiner, Norbert Greiner and Bernard Greiner, Sister Mary Catherine Greiner, daughter-in-law Donna Heisdorffer and a great granddaughter Deztiny Heisdorffer.
Surviving are her children, Arnold (Penny) Heisdorffer, Cedar Rapids, Vernelda (Dennis) Sterrett, Harper, Burnita (Dave) Stimmel, Kalona, Jeanette (Dan) Williams, Blakesburg, Marvin Heisdorffer, Sigourney, Marjorie Ohrt, Iowa City, Dale Heisdorffer, San Diego, California, 11 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass 10:30 Friday at St. Mary Catholic Church in Sigourney.
Visitation after 5:00 p.m. Thursday at the Holm Funeral Home in Sigourney where a Prayer Service will begin at 7:00 P.M.
Burial: St. Mary Cemetery Sigourney
