Ellen Krueger

Ellen A. Krueger, 70, died September 17, 2026, at Stone Cottage in Sigourney. She was born March 19, 1956 to Frank and Phyllis (Forbes) Tucker in Saint Charles, Missouri. She graduated from Saint Charles High in 1974 she later received a bachelors degree in health care administration from Truman State University. On September 6, 1975 she married Vernon Krueger at the United Methodist Church in Saint Charles, Missouri. Ellen worked as a home health aide and was a health care administrator at several nursing facilities. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Washington, IA, Red Hat Society, United Methodist Woman, and volunteered at the Conger House in Washington.

She enjoyed genealogy, World War II memorabilia, antiques, jewelry, old movies and music.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Vernon and grandparents Russell and Dorothy Forbes.

She is survived by her children Sallie Benedict of Cedar Rapids, Jessica Engel of Olympia, WA, four grandchildren- Russell, Chloe, Presley, Gabby, and three great grandchildren- Naiyanah, Benson and Aveyah.
