Dorothy Bell, 83, of Sigourney died Sunday March 18, 2012 at the Keokuk County Health Center in Sigourney. She was born June 9, 1928 at Delta, the daughter of William and Mildred Moore Dale. She attended Delta High School. She was married to Gerald Bell. Dorothy lived in Rose Hill, Delta, and Sigourney. She worked at Kingbury Homes in Sigourney and Pearson Seed near Oskaloosa. She was a member of the Eagles Lodge in Oskaloosa and the Sick-of-it All Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter Denise Allen, a grandson, 2 sisters Darlene Beal, and Mary Stewart, and a brother Billy Dale.
She is survived by 2 daughters Deneal Walraven of Hayesville, Zada Nancy (Linley) Leonard of Cortez, Col., 5 sons Terry (Nancy) Bell of Ankeny, Kerry (Linda) Bell of West Des Moines, James Bell of Sigourney, Richard (Debbie) Bell of Oskaloosa, Casey (Lea) Bell of Linden, Washington, 23 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, a sister Donna Decker of Hayesville, 2 brothers Dick Stewart of Delta, and Larry Stewart of Symrna, Ga.
Funeral Service: 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 26, 2012 at the Holm Funeral Home
Visitation: Sunday 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Burial: Springfield Cemetery, Delta, Iowa
