Donna M. Krier

Donna Mae Krier, 83, died April 22, 2017 at the University of Iowa Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. She was born January 21, 1934 to Ollie and Opal Tressler Olive in Delta, Iowa. She graduated from Delta High School. On September 7, 1952 she married Earl Lawrence Krier at the Delta Christian Church. They lived and farmed southwest of Sigourney for many years. Donna was employed at General Telephone in Oskaloosa and later at the Keokuk County Courthouse in the Auditors office from February 12, 1979 - May 15, 1989. She served as a deputy auditor and served as the auditor for one year after J.W. Scott stepped down. In 2001 Donna moved into Sigourney.

She was a member of the Sigourney Christian Church, Lydia Red Hats, she was a long time member of the pinochle card club, she was active in the Republican Party, joined a writing group at the Sigourney library, and she took part in many community plays.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Earl on October 19, 1996, son David Krier, son-in-law David Seibel, two sisters Arlene Stanley, Allene Rankin and an infant brother Charles Olive.

She is survived by her daughter Jody Krier of Williamsburg, two grandsons Nikolai and Sasha Krier, two brother- in- laws Carroll Krier of Cedar Rapids, Glen Krier of Sigourney, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral Service: 10:00A.M. Saturday April 29, 2017, Holm Funeral Home, Sigourney.
Visitation: 5:00-7:00 P.M. Friday April 28, 2017 at the Holm Funeral Home a time of remembering will start at 6:30 P.M.
A memorial fund has been established.
