Don Kerr

Donald L. Kerr, 78, died May 23, 2017 at the University Hospital in Iowa City Iowa. He was born May 2, 1939 to Howard and Kate Knowler Kerr near Delta, Iowa. He graduated from Delta High School in 1958. On November 2, 1958 he married Christie Malone at the Delta Methodist Church in Delta, Iowa. Don drove truck for W.C. Gretter and Sons in Harper, Kingsberry Homes, and Pulley Freight Liner in Des Moines and Dieomatic Trucking in Williamsburg. He enjoyed camping, NASCAR, his kids and grandchildren in their sports and activities. He also enjoyed spending time at the family farm in Delta.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sister Venita Stull, Wanda Alderson, three brothers Emery Kerr, Robert Kerr and Kenneth Kerr.

He is survived by his wife Christie, and their children Shelley (Lindsay) Greiner of Keota, Marty ( Connie) Kerr of Cedar Rapids, Mickey (Jodi) Kerr of Fairfield, Stacy (Kraig) Koehler of New Sharon, nine grandchildren Keaton, Kalen and Kolton Greiner, Kirby and Maddie Kerr, Courtney and Hanna Kerr, Chase and Katie Koehler, two step grandchildren Nik and Alex Koehler, one great granddaughter Campbell Mae Greiner, two sisters Kathleen Cline of Boulder, Colorado, and Doris Moore of Ames.

Funeral Service: 10:00 A.M. Friday May 26, 2017 at the Delta Methodist Church

Burial: Garrett Cemetery, Delta

Visitation: 4:00 - 7:00 P.M. Thursday at the Holm Funeral Home
