Dean Shifflett

Dean Shifflett, 86, died April 13, 2019 at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. He was born to Virgil and Eleanor K. Schultz Shifflett on August 26, 1932 in Webster, Iowa.  He graduated from Webster High school in 1949.  Dean served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955. On May 25, 1956 he married Carol Ann Glandon at the United Methodist Church in Sigourney.   Dean was employed by Warder and Lee Elevator, Dick’s Corner and H& M. They lived all of their life in Webster. He was a member of the American Legion and Webster Methodist Church. Dean enjoyed playing cards, woodworking and watching the St. Louis Cardinals.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and one sister Marian Yates.

He is survived by his wife Carol, three children Scott (Barb) Shifflett of Webster, Joni (Scott) Jensen of Alexander, Alan (Stephanie) Shifflett of Normal, IL. seven grandchildren Skylar   Shifflett, Emily Clarahan, Tallia Jensen, Silas Jensen, Jordan Shifflett, Lauren Butts, Isaiah  Shifflett, five great-grandchildren Bailey Shifflett, Braydon Shifflett, Jackson Brown, Landon Clarahan and  Theodore Butts and his sister Colleen (Robert) Wilkerson of North English.
