Darlene Ruggles

Darlene Ruggles, 85, died May 28, 2017, at Keota Health Care Center in Keota, Iowa. She was born April 20, 1932 near Clear Creek, Iowa to Jacob and Katherine Becker Kiefer. She attended school at Clear Creek. On January 29, 1955 she married Keith Ruggles at St. James Catholic Church in Washington. They lived around the Thornburg area. She was employed at Greeley's Nursing Home, Keokuk County Hospital, North English Care Center and later a custodian at the University of Iowa. She was a member of St. Joseph's Catholic Church in North English. Darlene enjoyed flowers, plants, needlework and cooking for her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Richard and Keith Kiefer and two sisters Virginia and Jennie Ott.

She is survived by her husband Keith, three sons Tom (Tina) Ruggles of Keota, Ron (Donna) Ruggles of Oskaloosa, Tim Ruggles of Keswick, eight grandchildren, six great - grandchildren, two sisters Vivian Stein of Newton and Lillian Bosly of St. Charles, Missouri.

Burial: Sorden Cemetery, Webster

Prayer Service: 4:00 P.M. Tuesday at the Holm Funeral Home with

Visitation 4:30 P.M. - 7:00 P.M.
